22-year-old Isak started at the top together with Norwegian Alexander Sørloth – and the Nordic collaboration paid off immediately. Already in the seventh minute, Isak was able to play forward the Norwegian who set the lead goal.
At the beginning of the second half, the Swede extended the lead with a free kick that put Atlético goalkeeper Jan Oblak completely. The goal was Isak’s first in the league game of the season.
Then the Basque came into play and Real Sociedad lost control of the victory.
Atlético Madrid’s Luis Suárez struck a 30 meter free kick home 26 minutes into the match.
