Alexander Bah returned to the starting lineup for Benfica, more than three months later, in the 3-0 victory over Gil Vicente. The full-back admitted that it was difficult being away for so long.
“It was a deserved victory. It was difficult at times. They were defending well. We had chances, it was very deserved. Mentally I’m very happy. It was a tough few months. I missed the stadium. I was very excited to be back. Physically, I felt good It was the first 90 minutes in a long time. I’m back, we have to keep working. We’re in first, now we have to keep working”, the Danish international told BTV.
