Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold has said the Premier League title race is ‘exciting’ after Chelsea’s last winner against Leeds on Saturday, as he told Premier League Productions (12/11/21 at 5:10 pm).

Another dramatic action on a Saturday and another day when Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City made their mark in the Premier League title race.

As Alexander-Arnold helped Liverpool beat Aston Villa 1-0, Chelsea needed a stoppage goal to eliminate a resilient Leeds side.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side actually opened the scoring at Stamford Bridge and at one point they were even tied at 2-2 with seven minutes remaining.

But if you want to win the Premier League title, you have to deliver the goods at any cost and through tough times.

The Reds did so against Villa and in their last-minute winner against Wolves last week.

Alexander-Arnold has made it clear that his side ‘can’t complain’ about Chelsea’s late goal because they did so last week.

“I didn’t know it,” Alexander-Arnold said. “I just saw that they scored a penalty at the last minute.

“But we can’t complain because we did the same last week. It’s really the title race, these things are happening and that makes it exciting.

“Three teams are going this year, it seems. We have to keep winning. It is an important period. The games are dense and fast.

“So any kind of slippage right now will be detrimental. We want to lead the league in March / April to attack in the final break-in. ”

After 16 games, Manchester City are in first place after beating Wolves 1-0 in the early kick-off.

Pep Guardiola’s side are one point ahead of second-placed Liverpool and two over Chelsea.

It wasn’t until last week that Thomas Tuchel’s men sat at the top of the pile.

But the points lost to the Hammer last week have caught up with them, but with the games to come, it wouldn’t be a surprise if that changes a few more times.
