Washington Football Team quarterback Alex Smith injured his calf in the game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, head coach Ron Rivera announced.
Smith left the field with the team’s medical staff to be examined in the locker room before the end of the first half. The injured leg is the severely injured leg that kept him off the field for almost two years.
Dwayne Haskins replaced the seasoned quarterback early in the third quarter. Washington lists Smith as “qustionable” for the rest of the game.
