Alex Sandro returns to Brazil
This is the end of the line for Alex Sancho in Europe. The Brazilian is returning to his home country of Brazil.
In 2014, then aged 23, Alex Sandro discovers Europe. The Brazilian came from Athetico Paranense. During his first experience he satisfies everyone in Portugal and even beyond. In Italy, the great Juventus is interested and pays the defender.
In fact, a long adventure made of extensions like the one in 2019 had just begun. But after nine seasons, the left-back and his team are out of breath. Last season Sandro only participated in 16 games (1 goal) in Serie A.
The link is broken and Juve asks their player to find another destination. However, at 33, Alex Sandro could no longer give himself a demanding sporting challenge. It was then that he returned to Brazil.
«Flamengo Regatta Club informs that it has completed the signing of athlete Alex Sandro this Monday (26). The left-back, multi-champion in several clubs, has signed with Mais Querido until December 31, 2026” writes Flamengo.
