Alex Rodriguez, one of the most active former players in the MLB today, would have found an investment within the sport, because, according to the latest reports, he would be finalizing the purchase of the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA with billionaire Marc Lore.
Former Major Leaguer Alex Rodriguez and billionaire Marc Lore are finalizing a deal to purchase the Minnesota Timberwolves from majority owner Glen Taylor, sources tell ESPN. Taylor will continue full control of team for two years before Rodriguez and Lore take over in 2023.

The purchase would be for $ 1.5 million, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN in the United States. The transaction also includes the Minnesota Lynx, a WNBA team, according to another Star Tribune report.

Rodríguez and Lore would take control of the team until 2023, so current owner Glen Taylor will continue to hold his position this and next season. In addition, within the clauses of the sale they promise to keep the team in the city in the future.
Taylor began the management of the Timberwolves in 1994 and the Lynx in 1999. The NBA team has done very badly during his tenure as they barely qualified for a playoffs since the 2003-04 season. The WNBA team has been most successful, winning four league championships in 22 seasons.
