Jakarta –
There are only four riders who have won MotoGP with two different Japanese manufacturers, who are they?
Alex Rins impressed at the American MotoGP. The race results in America also made Rins carve other achievements previously achieved by Valentino Rossi, Max Biaggi and Maverick Vinales.
Alex Rins finished the American MotoGP race in first place. This result also brought the name LCR Honda to the American MotoGP title. Not only that, Rins also made it into the ranks of drivers who won races with two different Japanese manufacturers.
Quoting the MotoGP page, not many riders can win two races with different Japanese manufacturers. Previously there was Max Biaggi who won the Czech MotoGP in 2022 with Yamaha. After that, Biaggi recorded a British MotoGP victory with Honda a year later.
Following in the footsteps of Max Biaggi, there is Valentino Rossi who recorded a similar achievement. At that time Rossi managed to win the South African MotoGP in 2004 after a fierce battle with Biaggi. It was also a winning debut for ‘The Doctor’ who previously scored three straight wins with Honda before his move. It also made Rossi a racer who managed to record two wins with different Japanese motorbikes.
Next up is Maverick Vinales. Vinales first recorded a win with Suzuki at the British MotoGP in 2016. Then a year later he moved to Yamaha.
Similar to Valentino Rossi, Vinales recorded a victory on his debut with Yamaha in Qatar. It was the first of eight wins inscribed by the manufacturer from Iwata. Vinales also has a mission to become a champion with three different manufacturers in 2023. The racer with the nickname ‘Top Gun’ is currently racing with Aprilia.
Recently, Rins was included in the ranks of drivers who have won with two different Japanese manufacturers. Talking about victory at the Circuit Of The Americas, this is not the first time Rins has inscribed. Rins had previously won in the Moto3, Moto2, and finally in the MotoGP class. This achievement is not only a positive note for Rins, but also for Honda, which has recently been developing.
