Rider Gresini Racing, Alex Marquezhad to be satisfied with the achievement of fifth position in MotoGP Austria. He has worked hard to get to the podium.
During the race at the Red Bull Ring, Spielberg, Sunday (20/8/2023) evening WIB, Francesco Bagnaia was the winner. The Ducati rider posted a time of 42 minutes 23.315 seconds to finish the ninth race in MotoGP 2023.
Alex Marquez finished fifth with a distance of 11.039 slower than Bagnaia. The 27-year-old racer lost in a fierce battle with two VR46 Academy riders, Marco Bezzecchi and Luca Marini.
“It’s been a very long race and it’s a real shame I can’t get to the podium… We’ve tried every way,” he said Alex Marquez on the Gresini site.
“Maybe we lost contact with the Binder group to punish us. I had to race without a chance to save the tyres. The aim today was to try hard also to find consistency in the finish and after coming here fourth, today top five, it’s really nice. But “We always want more,” he added.
Alex Marquez is currently still in ninth place in the 2023 MotoGP standings. He has collected as many as 92 points.
So far, the best results Alex Marquez once on the podium. He reached third place during the Argentina MotoGP race.
