During the race in Assen, Sunday (25/6/2023), Francesco Bagnaia won the Dutch MotoGP. Pecco recorded a time of 40 minutes 37.640 seconds.
Alex Marquez secured 11 points from Sunday’s race. With these additional points, Marc Marquez’s younger brother has collected a total of 63 points, in 10th place in the 2023 MotoGP standings.
MotoGP 2023 will take a break after the race in Assen. The next series will play the British MotoGP race on August 6, 2023.
For Alex Marquez, an additional total of 12 points from the Dutch MotoGP fostered confidence looking towards the rest of the season. He said the success in Assen was the result of the Gresini team’s precise strategy.
“We played the strategy right and were able to work things out wisely on the warm-up laps, as well as choosing a softer compound option for the race, although we knew we would struggle in the second part of the race. After lap 12 the rear tyre really hit the ground running. challenging, but we still managed to bag some important points and finish the first part of the season very quickly,” said Alex Marquez on the Gresini website.
Teammate Alex Marquez, Fabio Di Giannantonio, failed to finish in the Dutch MotoGP. He collected as many as 34 points from the eight races that have been undertaken, in 15th position. Out of the eight races he has participated in, Diggia could finish six times, failing to finish twice.
In the second half of MotoGP 2023, Alex Marquez and Diggia were asked to be even more consistent.
“The consistency of the two racers has improved in aiming for important points for the provisional standings for the 2023 MotoGP World Champion.
