The crime series “Alex Cross” has just started on Amazon and there is already good news for fans. Because season 2 has already been officially confirmed.
Alex Cross (Aldis Hodge, known from “Leverage”) is a brilliant investigator, forensic psychiatrist and family man. He is obsessive when it comes to getting into the minds of killers and bringing justice to their victims. But as a result of a personal trauma, Cross’ life threatens to fall apart. The series is based on the highly successful “Alex Cross” books by bestselling author James Patterson. The complete season 1 is on Prime Video since November 14, 2024 on offer. And anyone who has already watched all eight episodes will be happy – because it continues for “Alex Cross”. We’ll tell you what we know about season 2 here.

“Alex Cross” Season 2 is officially confirmed!
Investigator “Alex Cross” has existed in James Patterson’s book series since 1993. Morgan Freeman took on the role of Alex Cross in 1997 and 2001. The reboot of these two films with Tyler Perry in 2012, however, was less successful. “Burn Notice” screenwriter Ben Watkins is now making a fresh start with the Prime Video series. And apparently successfully. Because before “Alex Cross” Season 1 even had an air date, Prime Video already confirmed season 2. An unusual decision in times when streaming services are becoming more and more cautious when it comes to series renewals.
Thanks to the early confirmation of Season 2, the series can now continue straight away. There is enough material in terms of content, as Patterson’s original book now consists of over 30 volumes. However, it is not yet clear what the templates will be for season 2. There is already something for that erste Casting-News. Jeanine Mason (“Upload”), Matthew Lillard (“Scream”) and Wes Chatham (“Ahsoka”) appear in season 2. There is currently information about possible roles for the three just guesses. The expansion of the cast shows that season 2 of “Alex Cross” will also offer a lot of excitement.
