It was the second edition of a reality show, one of the first in Italy and the winner was a 26 year old boy, Alessandro Lukacs. Il Big Brother it was a television showcase not yet known and the authorial dynamics that the public learned were not known at the time: everything was more spontaneous, or at least that’s what the public at home thought.
The young Alessandro gave a long interview to TvBlog, in which he revealed what he did with the money from the winnings.
The winning money
«I participated out of boredom and out of bullshit. I was 26 years old, I had come from a long period of studies in medicine and dentistry and I wanted to get away for a while. I signed up for fun, not believing it too much. I had no feeling that they could actually get me. There were no social media and the internet was very different from today. A banner for the program randomly appeared and I clicked out of curiosity. I left my contact details written down; after a few days they called me. I wanted to be a dentist and in the end that’s what I did. With my GF earnings I didn’t buy motorbikes, watches or cars, but I invested everything in study and training courses. AND I paid penalties. My intention was to take 2-3 months of vacation, I wanted a temporary change of scenery and I chose the craziest way to do it. I could have opted for a trip, but instead I chose an experience that was strange to talk about. The contestants had contracts that lasted until the following June. You had to go on some shows, including Buona Domenica. The first and second time I accepted, then I interrupted and we went to court”, revealed Alessandro Lukacs during the interview, confiding that he had refused the invitations to the program because it was not his environment.
«I didn’t like performing, It was not and is not my environment. Furthermore, it meant staying in Rome on Saturdays and Sundays and I wanted to dedicate myself to snowboarding in the mountains on the weekends. Happy Sunday wasn’t up my alley. Let’s be clear: I had a blast, but doing what I liked. I took the best of what could be taken”, concluded Alessandro, happy with his path and his post-reality choices.
