For the first time in the history of the program, Alessandro Borghese 4 Ristoranti goes beyond national borders. After the valleys of Trentino, Chef Alessandro Borghese stops in London. With its 5 airports, 9 million inhabitants and 300 languages spoken, it is undoubtedly one of the most important metropolises and, for centuries, has been the world center for art, fashion, finance and music. In the city where everything is cool, Borghese will go in search of the best Italian restaurant of the third millennium. Four new Italian restaurateurs – who have put down roots here – will compete for the title and the prize money to use for their business. The protagonists will be: Il Macellaio RC by Roberto aka the butcher, In Parma By Food Roots by Christian who declares himself gastronomically patriotic, Casa Sibilla by Paola which offers quality cuisine at a good price and Gola by Aaron and his aphrodisiac cuisine. The 4 restaurateurs judge each other with a score from 0 to 10 on location, menu, service and bill, after taking turns being guests of their respective restaurants. At the end of the voting, a ranking is formed, which Alessandro’s vote can confirm or even overturn. His judgment is also influenced by the result of a meticulous inspection he carries out upon arrival at each restaurant and which reviews the most disparate areas of the restaurant: kitchen, cellar, vegetable garden, tasting room, pantry and much more. Dynamic, cultured and professional, Roberto is dedicated to his work and puts his heart and soul into everything he does. Il Macellaio RC has the precise intention of proposing a concept that is certainly original but strongly anchored to Italian tradition. IN PARMA BY FOOD ROOTS Christian is a patriotic guy, deeply attached to his Parma roots and would defend his restaurant, his philosophy, tooth and nail. In Parma he tries to offer his customers typical Parma cuisine because – according to Christian – few people have the opportunity to offer it in London. GOLA Aaron is a food entrepreneur, owner of Gola. He is a nice and very convinced guy and he opened his restaurant “for the pleasure of eating well”.
