DUNAJSKÁ STREDA – Midfielder Aleš Čermák left Pilsen after six years and went to Dunajská Streda as a free agent, led by former coach Viktória Adrian Guľa.

Both football clubs informed about it on their websites. Twenty-eight-year-old Čermák signed a two-year contract with DAC with an option for another year. Čermák came to Pilsen in the summer of 2017 from Sparta Prague and won two titles with Západočech. In the spring part of the last season, he was a guest at Bohemians 1905, where due to injury he played in only five league matches and scored two goals.

The former captain of the under-21 national team scored 33 goals and 23 assists in 190 matches in the top competition. He also worked in Hradec Králové and Mladá Boleslav, and now he is awaiting his premier foreign engagement.

“In the person of Aleš Čermák, we have a footballer with rich experience in the high-quality Czech league and international cups, including the group stage of the Champions League. In the past, he worked with coach Adrian Guľ, who knows his abilities well. I am convinced that he will contribute to further improvement with his winning mentality of our offensive phase,” said Jan Van Daele, sports director of the Slovak club.

Last week, Dunajská Streda acquired defender Filip Kaša and midfielder Miroslav Káčer from Pilsen, who had already spent a year at DAC. All three players led the ball during their engagements in Victoria from January 2020 to May 2021.
