Alert! These 6 Regions Continually Contribute the Highest Corona Death

COVID-19 Handling Task Force reveal 6 regencies/cities that have consistently contributed figures death due to Corona in Indonesia. These regencies/cities must be the targets of intervention in handling Corona.

This data was revealed by the Head of Data and Information Technology of the Handling Task Force, Dewi Aisyah in a discussion broadcast by BNPB, Wednesday (4/8/2021). Initially, Dewi revealed a number of provinces that contributed to the highest death toll during July. DKI Jakarta to East Java are included in this list.

“In July, the provinces that contributed the highest death rates were from Central Java, followed by East Java, DKI Jakarta, West Java, DI Yogyakarta. So if we look at the five provinces on the island of Java, they did contribute the highest death rates in July,” said Dewi Aisyah.

Furthermore, Dewi explained the data on districts/cities that contributed to the highest death rate in July.

“At the district/city level, who contributes the highest monthly death rate. The highest contributor to the death rate comes from the city of Semarang, followed by East Jakarta. Then Garut, West Jakarta, Karawang, South Jakarta, Balikpapan City, Sleman, and Jombang. more than ten,” he said.

Of these regencies/cities, there are consistently among the top 20 contributors to the highest monthly death rate. The six regencies/cities are South Jakarta, Sleman, West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Wonogiri.

“It turns out that there are several regencies/cities that consistently make it into the top 20, namely South Jakarta, Sleman, West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Wonogiri,” he said.

Furthermore, these 6 districts/cities will be the targets of intervention. The target of the intervention was to find out why the number of deaths due to Corona was high in the region.

“It means, do we have to look more closely at these regencies/cities to be targeted for intervention,” he continued.
