TRIBUNBANYUMAS.COM, SINGAPORE – Plague monkey pox or monkeypox began to penetrate countries in Southeast Asia. One of them, in Singapore, which reported an increase in cases.
Since the first case was discovered in the Land of the Lion, last June 20, today, the case of monkey pox in the country has reached 15 cases.
Singapore is the first country in Southeast Asia to detect the emergence of the virus, which originated in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Africa.
Case monkey pox in Singapore the latest was announced by the Ministry of Health of Singapore (MOH) on Friday (5/8/2022) evening.
Two patients, case 14 and case 15, were identified, respectively, a 54-year-old man and a 25-year-old man.
Both patients are Singaporeans.
According to contributor reports Kompas.com in Singapore, Ericssen, the 15th patient was the youngest infected patient monkey pox in Singapore.
MOH also for the first time announced the findings of a related case, namely between the 14th case and the 13th case, namely a 33-year-old man.
Singapore’s Ministry of Health did not elaborate further on what the relationship between the two men was and how they were related.
