BENGKULU – The Health Service (Dinkes) has alerted all health centers to anticipate an increase in cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in Mukomuko, Bengkulu.
“Puskesmas must be alert, if someone has a fever, immediately use a ‘rapid test’ to detect dengue fever early,” said Mukomuko Regency Health Office Dengue Program Manager Ruli Herlindo in Mukomuko, Friday, September 1, ditat Antara.
The Mukomuko Health Office has alerted all health centers after there was a case of death due to dengue in the Lubuk Sanai Village area, XIV Koto District.
Then, from the cases of death due to DHF in the area followed by an increase in DHF cases during August 2023 reaching 28 cases, and the most cases of DHF in the Lubuk Sanai Village area.
He said, his agency provided rapid test kits in all health centers with a total of 10 rapid test boxes, and at most in Lubuk Sanai village health center as many as 20 boxes.
The DHF rapid test kits, he said, are also available at 17 Community Health Centers and village midwives spread across 15 sub-districts in this area.
He stated that his agency would continue to monitor the health conditions of the people in the area through the health centers and village midwives in the area.
“We have socialized to the village head if there are residents who have a fever to be checked at the nearest health center and village midwife,” he said.
He said his agency had completed conducting a rapid DHF test at the location where cases of residents were found infected with the disease caused by the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
Apart from that, a mass fever survey has also been completed for local residents to detect early cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever in this area.
Meanwhile, there were 40 cases of DHF in Mukomuko Regency from January to August 2023, of that many DHF cases, 28 DHF cases occurred during August 2023.
