The National Metereological Service (SMN) issued this Saturday yellow level alerts by storms with strong electrical activity for Buenos Aires and five other provinces in the center of the country, and two orange alerts for heavy rains for Chubut and Santa Cruz.
As detailed by the SMN in its morning report, for the northwest of the province of Mendoza, the south of San Luis and a large part of La Pampa, the southwest of Chubut and the west of Rio Negro A yellow alert level is in effect for storms.
This means that may be affected by rains of varying intensity, some may be strong, accompanied by intense gusts, strong electrical activity and occasional hail.

Another yellow alert for winds was issued this morning by the agency for the west of the province of Neuquén, where winds are expected from the west sector with speeds between 50 and 70 kilometers per hour and gusts that can reach 90.
Also, the SMN issued two orange level alerts due to storms for the southeast of the provinces of Chubut and the northeast of Santa Cruz.
As detailed by the agency, the areas will be affected by intense rains, where accumulated precipitation values between 30 and 50 millimeters are estimated, and may be exceeded in a timely manner.
The orange level indicates “Prepare” because “dangerous meteorological phenomena for society, life, property and the environment” are expected.
