Medilampung.co.id – It was recorded that there were 254 residents of Pringsewu Regency who were attacked by Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) during 2021. For this reason, residents are asked to be vigilant and maintain a clean environment.

This invitation was expressed by the deputy regent of Pringsewu H Fauzi following the presence of two residents who died from this disease.

“And in January 2022, two people died from dengue fever,” he said while carrying out coaching at Balai Pekon Sukoharjo IV, Sukoharjo District, Thursday (20/1).

Therefore, the Deputy Regent invites all components of the community to maintain and prevent the spread of DHF.

“Among other things, by keeping the environment clean and eradicating mosquito nests,” he said.

What needs to be watched out for, especially during the rainy season like today, is the presence of used tires filled with rainwater which can become breeding grounds for mosquito larvae that cause dengue fever.

Including several places to accommodate such as buckets, basins, drinking places for birds, and even padasan (a place for ablution water) and others.

The Deputy Regent of Pringsewu accompanied by several heads of related regional apparatus as well as the sub-district and local kapekon also invited the community to plant plants that are not liked by mosquitoes.(sag/mlo)
