Alert! Dengue Fever Cases Increase

Banyumas, Gatra.com – In the midst of the decline in Covid-19 cases, cases of dengue fever (DB) in Banjarnegara, Central Java were observed to increase. One of the reasons for this increase is the arrival of the rainy season.

Regarding the increase in DB cases, the Banjarnegara Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) spoke up. People are asked to be vigilant and how to fight it and the best way is to increase immunity.

“This virus doesn’t have a cure, it can fight the body’s immunity, so the vector spread factor must be suppressed. Transmission is through animals, and is not transmitted between humans,” said Dr Agus Ujito, Chair of IDI Banjarnegara, Monday (22/11).

Agus explained, the process of entering this virus into the human body through mosquitoes, and is hosted in the human body. Then, the virus multiplies and attacks human blood vessels. As a result there are disorders in the blood vessels and reduced platelets. As a result, patients can experience anemia or lack of blood due to ruptured blood vessels.

“Finally there is a clot in the blood vessel, the blood vessel bursts. Can make vomiting blood, defecate blood and even blood vessels in the lungs and other organs are also damaged. It could be an emergency until death, “explained Agus.

He added that dengue fever is a shared responsibility. The first is how not to be contagious. Health workers are guards to prevent shock and death.

Health workers have a duty so that it is not late and there is no emergency. The process in the body is about one to 10 day cycle. The most dangerous is the fourth day to the seventh day,” said Agus, who is also the chairman of the Indonesian Digital Medicine Association (Predigti).

Data collected from dengue fever cases at the Banjarnegara Islamic Hospital in July as many as 7 cases, August 9 cases, September 17, October 15, and November until this last week reached 12 cases.
