Solopos.com, MADIUN — Madiun District Health Office, East Java, noted that during January to July 2022 there were 207 people who contracted dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). It was recorded that two of them died.
The Head of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) of Madiun Regency, Anies Djaka, said that the number of residents who were infected with DHF was due to the erratic weather that made the Aedes aegypti mosquito grow rapidly. During this year, almost every month there are recorded cases of DHF.

“Every month there are cases. But the highest cases occurred in January and February,” he explained, Wednesday (10/8/2022).
Anies said that to anticipate the increase in dengue cases in Madiun, the puskesmas was asked to move again to eradicate mosquito nests (PSN) in the community. Besides that, it also moves 3M, namely draining, closing, and burying as well as 3M plus movement, namely preventing mosquito bites by using mosquito repellent, avoiding clothes piling up, and planting plants that are not liked by mosquitoes and abatement.

“If there is an incident and there is a sequence, we will immediately carry out fogging,” he said.
Madiun Health Office data shows 70 cases in January, 35 in February, 21 in March, 22 in April, 25 in May, 14 in June, and 20 in July. This DHF case is evenly distributed in all sub-districts in Madiun Regency.
