CIREBON DISTRICT, SC- The Cirebon District Health Office (Dinkes) has issued a letter of early warning and preparedness to anticipate an increase in cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). The early warning letter has been sent to all Puskesmas in Cirebon Regency since the end of last January.
The Head of the Cirebon District Health Office, Dr. Hj Neneng Hasanah through the Head of the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Section (P2PM) in the Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) Sector, Dr. Lukman Denianto, said the instructions for early vigilance and preparedness were issued following the increasing number of dengue cases in the early days. this 2022.
In the first week of February alone, he said, cases caused by the bite of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito had reached 28 cases. Whereas previously, until January, there were 317 cases of dengue fever and 2 of them died.
“In the first week of this month alone, there were 28 cases,” said Lukman, Tuesday (15/2/2022).

He said the spike in dengue cases in Cirebon Regency was still dominated by five sub-districts, namely Plumbon, Weru, Palimanan, Plered and Lemahabang Districts. For cases of DHF to death, they are in Plumbon and Susukan Subdistricts.
The continued increase in dengue cases in Cirebon Regency, continued Lukman, was not only caused by weather factors, but also due to the lack of public awareness of clean and healthy living. Especially when the rainy season is happening like now, where the weather is hot and it rains one after another every day.
“Season like this, it keeps on raining and then it gets hot again, this is very favored by the Aedes Aegypti mosquito to breed,” said Lukman.

According to Lukman, one way to stop the breeding of mosquitoes is prevention. The trick is with the 3M plus movement, namely draining the bathtub, closing water reservoirs and burying used items and the 1 house 1 larva monitoring interpreter (jumantik) movement.
His party reminded the people of Cirebon Regency to continue to increase vigilance against dengue mosquito bites, especially when the Aedes Aegypti mosquito starts to bite. That is, at 08.00-10.00 am and 15.00-17.00 WIB.

“We hope that the community can also maintain a clean environment at home to reduce the potential for mosquito breeding places, including not having clothes hangers in the bathroom.
