Alert ! 159 DHF Cases Occur in Bangka Regency, Mostly in Sungailiat . District

BANGKAPOS.COM , BANGKA — In the period from January to July 2022 there were 159 cases Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) from Bangka Regency.

The dominant dengue cases were found in Sungailiat District, which was 63 cases or 39 percent of all existing cases.

Boy Yandra, Chairman of the Indonesian Association of Environmental Health Experts (HAKLI) Bangka Regency to generations Bangkapos.comSunday (07/08/2022) in Sungailiat said, the highest increase in dengue cases occurred in July 2022, which was 37 people.

“For the highest cases of dengue fever, there are three health centers, namely Sungailiat Health Center 33 people, Kenanga 30 people and Pemali 23 people,” he said. Boy Yandra.

Efforts are being made by the Bangka Regency Government through the Health Service and Puskesmas, namely conducting counseling in several schools and later also at the Posyandu so that dengue cases can be suppressed to a minimum.

“The public must know that the Aedes aegypti mosquito that transmits dengue lives in clean water, the characteristics of the mosquito are on the body, there are black and white segments,” he said. Boy Yandra.

It is hoped that the public will be alert to this dengue outbreak and always clean the sewers of stagnant water, water reservoirs that are not used to be drained, and the bathtub should be drained at least once a week.

“If there is a problem with water, you can use Abate to mix it in a bath. You can get this Abate from the nearest health center for free and first consult how to use it with the Puskesmas staff,” he explained.

If a child or family member has a fever, they should be immediately taken to the nearest hospital or health center, don’t let it get worse and then be taken to the hospital.

“If a child is tested positive for DHF, they must immediately report it to the local Kaling so that the local environment can carry out epidemiological investigations at the patient’s home and surroundings,” said Boy.
