Alena Kostornaya Alena Kostornaya has managed to surprise everyone over the past year. And it’s not just about the wedding with her ice partner Georgy Kunitsa, although the figure skater herself, it seems, can now only talk about her new husband.
The relationship between the two talented athletes developed rapidly. Kostornaya, who retired from single figure skating, last fall paired up with Kunitsa, whom she had known for a long time at that time (he also trained in Eteri Tutberidze’s group – editor’s note). Already in winter, the newly-minted partners managed to kiss, and by May they got engaged.
Last August, Kostornaya and Kunitsa celebrated their wedding, to which they invited relatives, friends and some colleagues. The celebration turned out to be interesting. So, for example, Alena managed to change three outfits during the evening. Gosha was brought out to the guests with bats in his hands by figure skaters Roman Atoyar, Matvey Vetlugin and Ilya Yablokov – and all this to the music from a James Bond movie. Kostornaya was supported by ice colleagues Alena Kanysheva and Daria Usacheva.
Anna Shcherbakova also came to her friend’s wedding. But Trusova was not at the evening. As fans noted, the TSHK group (an abbreviation that fans used to designate Tutberidze’s talented students by the first letters of their last names – editor’s note) finally broke up, although the girls at one time seemed to be close friends.

After the first month of family life, Alena and Gosha continue to amaze fans. Before Internet users had time to move away from their wedding photos and videos, the couple posted pictures for everyone to see in the style of the frank film “50 Shades of Gray.” People saw not only love, but also the passion of Kostornaya and Kunitsa.

Alena is serious about going out on the ice with Kunitsa, but she’s not building castles in the air:
“More than 50% (ready for the season – editor’s note), and this is already very good. I can’t say that all athletes approach the skates completely prepared. 75% is an incredible result. It’s difficult for me personally to get in shape by the beginning of the season and keep it until spring, and it’s probably not necessary.”
