Alemannia Aachen: The first newcomer comes from KFC Uerdingen

Alemannia Aachen is now also starting on the transfer market. After the club announced some departures, the first newcomer has now been officially presented.

Alemannia Aachen hat Pepijn Schlösser contracted. The Dutchman played for the last season KFC Uerdingen and is at home at right-back.

Six assists and one goal, that’s Schlosser’s record of the season in Krefeld, where he made 26 regional league appearances and two games in the Lower Rhine Cup as a regular in 2021/22. The 24-year-old spent the rest of his career with Roda Kerkrade. In the service of the Dutch club near the German border, he played 38 times in the second division and played 52 competitive games for the U19s and U21s of Roda. During his twelve years at Roda Kerkrade, he was also coached by ex-Alemanni Eric van der Luer, among others.

When the request came from Alemannia, I didn’t have to think long. Even as a young man, my grandfather traveled to the games from the Netherlands on a moped.

“With Pep we are bringing in a complete and, despite his young age, very well trained player for the right-back side, who was absolutely seeded at KFC Uerdingen last season. As an attacking full-back, he brings good pace and good cross quality. Through his past Roda Kerkrade and his place of residence in Limburg also have enormous ties to the region and fit perfectly into our requirements profile,” explains Aachen’s sporting director Helge Hohl the transfer.

Additions: Pepijn Castles (KFC Uerdingen)

Departures: Nils Blumberg, Peter Hackenberg (both retired), Tim Buchheister, Tugrul Erat, Ricardo Antonaci, Joshua Mroß, Luka Losic, Mergim Fejzullahu, Oluwabori Falaye, Selim Gündüz (all destination unknown), Tim Korzuschek (1. FC Saarbrücken, was on loan)

Schlosser himself adds: “When the request came from Alemannia, I didn’t have to think long. Even as a young man, my grandfather traveled to the games from the Netherlands on a moped. It’s therefore a great pleasure for me to be able to wear the black and yellow jersey and to help the club achieve its goals.”
