Alemannia Aachen: 7th newcomer! 175-time fourth division player signs

Before the start of the remaining round on Saturday (2 p.m.) against SV Lippstadt 08, Alemannia Aachen struck again on the transfer market and welcomed entry number seven.

The sixth external signing within the current winter transfer window is a done deal: Ricardo Antonaci is joining from Arminia Ludwigshafen Alemannia Aachen. Since Vleron Statovci was promoted to the regional league squad from his own U19 during the winter break, one can speak of a total of seven additions this winter.

The 26-year-old Antonaci will strengthen the right side of the Kaiserstadt defense, but can alternatively be used in the right and defensive midfield. In the current season, the native of Worms has made 19 appearances for Ludwigshafen in the two-tier Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz/Saar, scoring three goals and providing seven assists.

Additions: Alexander Heinze, Selim Gündüz (both without a club), Sebastian Schmitt (TSV Schott Mainz), Tim Korzuschek (1. FC Saarbrücken, on loan), Ergün Yildiz (FC Pesch), Vleron Statovci (own U19), Ricardo Antonaci (Arminia Ludwigshafen)

Departures: Sven Schiffer (SpVg Frechen 20), Mario Zelic (TuRU Düsseldorf)

Before moving to Arminia in July last year, Antonaci worked for Wormatia Worms, TuS Koblenz, FC Gießen and, until the move to Ludwigshafen, also for VfB Homberg. Overall, the 1.77 meter tall defensive specialist has made 175 appearances in the West and Southwest regional leagues, 50 Oberliga games and 14 games in the U19 Bundesliga South/Southwest.

“Ricardo is a player with regional league experience who, as a trained full-back, has proven his qualities both in the role of preparer and in that of set piece shooter. He also impressed us as a very positive character in training. We are happy to have him at Alemannia welcome,” says Alemannia coach Fuat Kilic.

“I’m really happy to be able to play for such a traditional club as Alemannia and I’m happy to be here. I’m really interested in the task and I’m dying to be successful together with the club,” explains the newcomer himself.
