Aleksandar Čavrič Leaves Slovan for Kashima Antlers: Culture Shock Awaits in Japan

BRATISLAVA. Slovan left not only the best scorer, but also the most popular and faithful player. He lived in Bratislava for seven and a half years. On Monday, Aleksandar Čavrič admitted that he was leaving moved.

He will play in an arena with a capacity of more than 40,000, while the city of Kashima itself has only 66,000 inhabitants. He was requested by his compatriot Ranko Popovič, who is a coach.

Brazilian stars like Zico, Leonardo and Jorginho used to play in the same jersey. Aleksandar Čavrič headed to the Japanese club Kashima Antlers. He replaced the white jersey with a red one.

He is in for a culture shock, and he will be the only European in the team. “We are very happy that the resulting agreement makes sense for all parties, both for Čaki (nickname Čavrič, editor’s note) and for the club,” explained Ivan Kmotrík junior with satisfaction.

However, Slovan’s CEO surprised those who expected a permanent transfer. “We reached an agreement with the Japanese club on paid hosting with a subsequent transfer option,” added Kmotrík.

What about the ransom?

It sounds mysterious that the boss of Slovan is satisfied with the loan.
