Alejandro thinks this is the toughest thing about the whole Shall We Dance

Alejandro Fuentes broke through in Idol in 2005. After the Idol participation, he formed “De nye Gitarkameratene” together with Kurt Nilsen, Espen Lind and Askil Holm. The quartet has toured and held concerts since.

Now the 33-year-old is in Skal vi danse – something he knows is much more time consuming than anything else. The participation also means that he has to live far from home.

The artist’s address is usually in Kristiansand, but he now lives temporarily in Oslo to participate in the entertainment program.

– With training every day, there is little time to spare. It is not possible to commute, says Alejandro Fuentes to TV 2.

– That’s what’s the toughest thing about the whole thing – being away from the family for so long, he adds.

Can become a father during the recording

In Kristiansand, a wife and two children, Max (5) and Leo (1), are waiting, but the couple also have a third child on the way. The term is in January, so if the child decides on an early arrival, he can quickly become a father again during the recording of Shall We Dance.

– Anything can happen. I have friends who have given birth three months premature. If that happens, then we must find a solution.

One plan is to fly the children up to Oslo so that they can live with him.

Celebrating a bit already

Although Fuentes was on bottom three last week, he can still reach the final.

Today, the participants start with blank sheets again. Fuentes is happy about that.

– Then there is some hope. I celebrated a little when I heard that, because it was not cool to lie on the bottom three. With blank sheets, there is some hope, he says.

– The more I go into it, the better I get. I’ll do my best this time.

How long he must be away from the children, time will tell. So far, his cheerleaders are following from the sofa at home in Kristiansand.

– My eldest son was allowed to sit up for a long time last Saturday to watch, which he thinks was very fun, Fuentes says.

During the broadcast, he gave a touching greeting to him on the live, which was great. But it still does not compensate.

– If it goes all the way, and I stay here for a full four months, then we have to find a solution so that I can see them, he says.

Watch Shall we dance on Saturdays at 7.30 pm on TV 2 and TV 2 Play.
