Mexico City. The federal Secretary of Culture, Claudia Curiel de Icaza, inaugurated the new general director of the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature (INBAL), Alejandra de la Paz Nájera, as well as the people who join the team of this agency.
This is Haydeé Boetto Bárcena, deputy director general of Fine Arts, as of November 1, while Dolores Martínez Orralde was ratified as deputy director general of Real Estate Artistic Heritage. Déborah Chenilo Alazraki assumed the general deputy director of Artistic Education and Research, while as of November 1, Víctor Manuel Mejía Arellano will be the general deputy director of Administration.
Curiel de Icaza thanked Lucina Jiménez López for the work done as head of INBAL, as well as the collaborators who accompanied her during her management.
Likewise, he emphasized to the new team the importance of strengthening the work in all areas of the Institute, a department that plays a fundamental role in artistic education, the creation, preservation and research of our artistic heritage. He stressed the relevance of generating communicating vessels between the traditional and the contemporary.
De la Paz, for his part, promised to work hand in hand with the secretary to strengthen the institution and address the needs demanded by the current environment and the changes that have occurred in the institution to work on collective representation. , with a close dialogue with all the communities that comprise it and a prominent role in the formation of a vibrant and sustainable cultural ecosystem.
The secretary commented that in the near future she will inform the work areas and the team that will complement the work of INBAL.
