Aleix Espargaro managed to be the fastest racer in qualifying MotoGP Catalunya, followed by Pecco Bagnaia and Fabio Quartararo, Saturday (4/6). Aleix Espargaro broke the record for the fastest lap again.
Aleix Espargaro posted a time of 1 minute 38.742 seconds to be the fastest in the qualifying session. Pecco Bagnaia and Fabio Quartararo then followed and completed the front row formation of the Catalunya MotoGP.
At the start of qualifying, Vinales took the lead with a time of 1 minute 39.594 but then Pecco Bagnaia, Jorge Martin, Fabio Quartararo took turns to be the fastest racer.
Quartararo’s time of 1 minute 39.055 seconds remained the fastest time until qualifying entered the last five minutes.
Quartararo’s position was finally evicted by Pecco Bagnaia when three minutes left in qualifying. Bagnaia posted a time of 1 minute 38.787 seconds.
Aleix Espargaro then stopped with a score of 1 minute 38.742 seconds. This record is again a record-breaking Aleix Espargaro.
Quartararo is currently the leader of the standings with a value of 122 points. The French racer is eight points ahead of Aleix Espargaro who is in second place.
