Aleix About Marquez Accident in Mandalika: He’s Like a Puppet

Aprilia racer Aleix Espargaro mention Mark Marquez like a doll during an accident in MotoGP Mandalika 2022 at the Mandalika Circuit, Sunday (20/3).

The incident experienced by Marquez at Mandalika occurred during the warm-up, moments before the race. The racer nicknamed The Baby Alien experienced a highside and bounced violently at Turn 7 and left the track.

After the accident, Marquez was rushed to the Mataram hospital, until finally he was sentenced to have a mild concussion and was declared canceled from participating in the Mandalika MotoGP.

Quoted from Motosan, Aleix Espargaro gave testimony of the great accident experienced by Marquez. According to Aleix, Marquez was like a doll when his body slammed into the ground.

“I was two seconds behind him and I saw him fly. I was really scared and actually lowered the gas because I saw him on the ground like he was a puppet.

“When I returned to the paddock I told my crew that I had never witnessed a fall like this in my life,” Aleix added.

After being declared not participating in the Mandalika MotoGP race, Marquez was immediately flown to Spain for further examination.

The bad news was that two days after the unfortunate incident, Marc Marquez was declared to be experiencing diplopia or double vision.

“I think I have deja vu. On my way back to Spain, I started to feel discomfort in my vision.”

“We then decided to visit Dr. Sanchez Dalmau who later confirmed that I had a new problem with Diplopia,” Marquez said on his Twitter account.
