It was last week that Alec Baldwin fired a shot from a prop weapon during rehearsals for a scene in the movie “Rust”.
The weapon turned out to be sharply charged, and film photographer Halyna Hutchins was killed in the incident. Director Joel Souza was also injured in the incident.
TMZ has on Saturday night published a video in which they interviewed Alec Baldwin.
– I can not comment on the investigation, this is an active investigation that the sheriff in Santa Fe is working on, he says.
Had dinner together
He goes on to say that the late Hutchins was his friend.
– She was my friend. The day I came to Santa Fe, I took her out to dinner, we were a very close-knit crew, he says.
He also expresses his deepest sympathy with the injured Souza, and says he has been in contact with his family.
In the video that the celebrity magazine has published, it is clear that Baldwin is affected by the incident. He reiterates several times that he does not have the opportunity to comment on the investigation.
– There are accidents on film sets sometimes, but nothing like this. I am in shock. We are waiting for the sheriff’s investigation to find out what happened. I will cooperate with the police in every way I can, says Baldwin.

Earlier this week, the sheriff of Santa Fe, New Mexico, announced that they had seized 600 items on the set of the film “Rust”.
Among the items seized are the three firearms, 500 units of ammunition as well as clothing and equipment.
They also stated that several other people were holding the weapon, before Baldwin got it, and fired the fatal shot.
