The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) advises consumers not to eat Xinkang Sheng brand Enoki mushrooms due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. This product was sold by Dong Yu China Market d / b / a Way 1 Supermarket located atsee more 2789 Plymouth Road, Ann Arbor, MI.

The affected product is:
– Xinkang Sheng brand Enoki mushrooms (UPC 6 972304 660027; without batch code) – packed in a transparent bag with green label and white, red and black Chinese characters. The name “Xinkang Sheng” is written in English on the front of the bag; “200” in white numbers on the back of the bag.

MDARD asks consumers, restaurants or retail stores who believe they have purchased the product at a location other than the Way 1 supermarket in Ann Arbor, to provide information about their purchase.

Consumers with Xinkang Sheng brand enoki mushrooms should discard them. Retailers and restaurants should remove this product from the store and contact the MDARD inspector or local health department food sanitizer immediately. To date, no illness has been reported in connection with these products.
