Alcohol, drugs and an angry character: who is Jorik Scholten, the man behind coarsely-raped rapper Lil ‘Kleine?

Lil ‘Kleine was born in 1994 as Jorik Scholten. At first sight, the cards seem well divided: Scholten grows up in Amsterdam as the middle of three children, with a father who earns a living as a civil servant and a mother who teaches singing.

But from an early age Scholten struggled with health problems: benign blood cancer damages his vertebrae, forcing him to wear a corset from the age of two to five to straighten his spine. “His back was at a 45-degree angle. He had to fight,” says father Maarten Scholten emotionally in “Linda’s men”, a documentary made about the rapper.
