“Alberto Thormann Tribute Exhibition: A Complicit Game Between Little Artists and Established Masters”

On Wednesday 24, at 6:00 p.m., the exhibition will be enabled in homage to maestro Alberto Thormann, by Lice. Art studio. Entrance is free and open.

It is a tribute show and a reissue of the successful “Question of Height”, made in 2015 and which took place in the Sala Santangelo of the Espacio Contemporáneo de Arte, when the teacher Alberto Thormann participated as a guest artist in the well-known workshop of child art.

With renewed small artists, Piojos reintroduces us to the language of Thormann, this time reinterpreting with the naturalness and magic that characterizes them when they work inspired by the works of great Mendoza painters.

In the words of Claudio Escobar, teacher, artist and founder of Piojos, an art workshop for boys and girls, this proposal “It is an informal meeting between established artists and little ones, a complicit game where the little ones exchange roles for a little while, to then get into the place of teachers and artists”.

Around 50 works are exhibited installed at the height of a child and that offer us a special perspective, where works by the master and the small artists in the workshop play and dialogue.

The proposal of this art workshop, intended for boys and girls, aims to combine, in a playful way, spontaneity and expressive freedom, linked to artistic productions by renowned plastic artists, resulting in a new reading and interpretation of reality for citizen education in contemporary times.

The various manifestations carried out in drawing, painting, collage, sculpture and ceramics start from the observation, experimentation, analysis, investigation and appropriation of the elements of the language of the visual arts and their compositional organization, relating motivations and emerging themes towards creative production, where materials, supports, tools and techniques become the fundamental resources for the realization of his works.

The exhibition will be open until Sunday, July 2, with free admission, at the Julio Le Parc Cultural Space, located on Miter and Godoy Cruz streets, in Guaymallén.
