Alberto San Juan is now in his fifties, but he has not lost a bit of the acting talent or sexual appeal (his boomer fans are legion) that made him famous two decades ago thanks to films like Airbag or The Other Side of the Bed. After years of lower profile but without stopping working, on Saturday he returned to the covers because he took the Goya to Best Supporting Actor for its role in Sentimental, the latest from Cesc Gay. Nor was it the first time that he used his speech of thanks to wedge against the system. Today, however, things have changed. He has criticized the “personalist model” of Podemos and he no longer marries the purple ones, although he shares with them his idea of collective emancipation. “Podemos has been broken by the authoritarian idea of internal organization,” he said.
