The colonel, in retirement, Alberto Molina Flores has presented his resigns from the Government of Guayaswhich she held since December of last year, after the departure of the Government Minister, Monica Palenciawho appointed him to the position.

Molina has said that the new minister, Michele Sensi Contugi Ycaza, should be free to choose his closest collaborators, and resigned on the morning of this Wednesday, April 24. President Daniel Noboa accepted it at night.

Minister Mónica Palencia, who was in charge of the Interior, has been the holder of that portfolio since Sunday.

Alberto Molina is a member of the National Academy of Military History, of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, Guayas chapter. His opinion columns on military and political issues are published regularly in El Universo and The Republic.

In 2018 he was a member of the National Electoral Council. In 1981, in the Paquisha conflict, Molina was a member of the General Staff of the Guayaquil Special Defense Zone. In 1995, during the Cenepa War, Molina served as spokesperson for the Ecuadorian Armed Forces.
