The mayors of Vila Pouca de Aguiar, Alberto Machado, and Alfândega da Fé, Eduardo Tavares, were elected vice-chairmen of the Board of the Municipalities with Renewable Energy Section of the National Association of Portuguese Municipalities (ANMP).
The election took place this Wednesday at the ANMP headquarters in Coimbra.
The presidency was assumed by the municipality of Portel, with the municipalities of Mação and Mangualde having been elected members.
The Section for Municipalities with Renewable Energy succeeds the Section for Municipalities with Dams, having broadened its thematic scope, now including matters that go beyond the installation of dams in municipal territories.
At this meeting, the board took office and began work, analyzing the territorial compensation due to municipalities for the exploitation of natural resources, the exceptional regime for implementing projects and initiatives for the production and storage of energy and renewable sources, as well as the fiscal regime of spills associated with the exploitation of natural resources.
SUPPORT OUR WORK. SUPPORT PROXIMITY JOURNALISM.
At a time when information is more important than ever, support regional and outreach journalism. Access to most VTM news is (still) free, but it is not free, journalism costs money and requires investment. This contribution is a way of directly supporting A Voz de Trás-os-Montes and its journalists. Our counterpart is independent and proximity journalism, but not only. It’s continuing to report despite all the confinement contingencies, without stopping for a single day.
