Alberto Gamero’s reactions after the passage to the final of the League with Millonarios

Yesterday, June 13, in the second leg of the semifinals of the Betplay League, Millonarios, which received Junior at the Nemesio Camacho ‘El Campín’ Stadium, took the victory after being 2-0 in the match and 4-3 on the aggregate scoreboard. To define the next rival of the ambassador team for the final, it will be defined today at 7:00 pm when La Equidad receives Deportes Tolima in Bogotá.

Although Millonarios suffered two casualties in their starting squad, Andrés Llinás and Edgar Guerra, who tested positive in the PCR tests carried out a few hours before the game against Junior, the Bogota team went to the final of the League.

And for its part, the Barranquilla team played without its two main figures in the attack: Teófilo Gutiérrez Y Miguel Angel Borja. The first due to an injury to the Achilles heel, and the second when he was summoned with the selection of Colombia to dispute the America Cup.

After finishing the game, Alberto Gamero, technical director of Millonarios, He spoke at a press conference about the victory, the expulsions of Breiner Paz and Felipe Banguero and how he took the step to reach the last round of the League.

Gamero made a balance on the almost 100 minutes played this Sunday in ‘El Campín’. “It is no secret to anyone that we had the game managed 2-0 when we won. With the expulsion, the team had caste, hierarchy, commitment. We defended ourselves with a rival who wanted to open the field for us. Millionaire was affected by the decisions made by the VAR and the main referee, who ended up expelling two players, because in the case of Breiner Paz he first got yellow and after the information given by the VAR it was decided to put him red. On this, Gamero said that it did not affect them because in the end they won, but that for the next match they will not have those players and not those who tested positive this Sunday, who must be in quarantine for 10 days.

“Linás was not there, there may be an expulsion but not in that position, we had no substitute and a player who has no replacement is required. That is why the effort was great. You need equipment to defend yourself well, and that’s what we did. Chicho became a left marker, Rodríguez right, and Uribe passed the ball line ”, added.
