In Albert’s time at RTL Boulevard, he often called celebrities to find out whether one of his stories was correct. But not everyone was served by that, he explains at BNR Nieuwsradio. “I know that Nikkie Plessen, for example, said: ‘If that phone rang, you would get a little scared.’ The fashion designer would then have wondered what she had ‘done’ and what would ‘be going on’. “There was a kind of shudder,” said Albert.

Albert is now with Talpa, and still impresses journalism students. “Then a girl like that says: ‘You were always on at home,'” he says. “How nice is that actually that a whole generation has grown up with my image and my smile blaring through the living rooms?” He also likes the compliments on the street. “Actually I enjoy that much more than these kinds of sentences from fellow celebrities.”
Albert made the daily program at SBS 6 Inside, but that didn’t go smoothly. The plug was quickly pulled out. Despite this, he is back in talks to make a similar show, he says in the video below.
