Albert and Maryse Mourgues conquered the virus

In these painful times, difficult to live with, there are, and that’s all the better, “adventures” that end well. As proof that of Albert Mourgues, 82, a well-known Gangeois – he was in particular a municipal employee -, who was affected by the Covid-19.

On Thursday, October 22, Albert was hospitalized at the Parc clinic and, on the 24th, it was the intensive care unit with intubation and artificial coma. Meanwhile, October 27 is her birthday and a nurse will sing her Happy Birthday which we do not know if he will take advantage – we can think so and thank the dedication of this nurse – since he will not come out of the coma until November 1st.

On November 4, he returned to the general medicine department and, finally, on November 18, he returned to his home where his wife, Maryse, was herself hospitalized for five days at the Clinique Saint-Louis, was waiting for him. Since then, he has remained on oxygen but the on-call time decreases regularly and, soon, he will resume the normal course of his life preparing for Christmas.

Why talk about Albert? To explain that this nasty virus does not always win, fortunately. And it is this message that his wife and three daughters want to convey, infinitely grateful to the nursing staff who helped them out of this bad patch.
