The Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, lamented that Monday that the European Union (EU) has been living “for too many years behind” Latin America, which he considered the “most Euro-compatible region on the planet” that “has to be part of the strategic agenda” of the community bloc.
Upon his arrival at a Council of Foreign Ministers in Brussels where the relationship between the European Union and Latin America will be discussed, Albares assured that “the voice of Spain will be heard” in this debate “so that there is a true strategic relationship between Latin America and the European Union”.
