The Albacete Provincial Council has resolved this week two lines of aid within its Cultural Area addressed to the municipalities of the province and destined, on the one hand, to the support of the Music Academies and, on the other, to the acquisition of musical instruments, ascending the total amount approved to half a million euros.
The institution chaired by Santi Cabañero has given the green light to 101 subsidies adding both calls, with which it seeks to support the Music Bands of the Albacete territory and contribute to their continuity, as the provincial president himself has explained on different occasions, who he makes it clear whenever he has the opportunity that the Bands and the Academies or Music Schools are one of the most important socio-cultural and educational frameworks in the province, and authentic agents of revitalization in the life of each town or city.
Thus, the Aid for the support of the municipal Music Academies has reached 53 locations. Endowed with an amount of €300,000, they are intended to finance the expenses of the teaching staff of these centers during the period from December 1, 2022 to November 30, 2023.
A determining support to which, for the second consecutive year, the €200,000 provided by the Provincial Council to help municipalities in the acquisition of musical instruments during 2023 and which have reached 48 points in the Albacete geography, are added, thus consolidating a line of grants that was launched for the first time last year with great success.
The beneficiary local entities will be able to allocate these aids to the purchase of musical instruments and accessories of an inventoriable nature for Music Bands, Music Schools attached to them and/or the Musical Groups of the different localities.
