Albacete is running its María José Merlos memorial this Sunday to raise funds to fight cancer

The race, with a distance of about five kilometres, will start from the Ejidos de la Feria, which will be dyed pink in support of women suffering from breast cancer.

Also, the purpose of this float is to keep alive the memory of María José Merlos, founder of AMAC, an entity that is now chaired by Llanos Sánchez and which is made up of more than 800 women who have found people in this association for lean during the disease process.

One of the services offered by AMAC is the rehabilitation physiotherapy treatment, essential for the recovery of cancer patients and which reaches almost 200 women. In fact, this year they have treated a hundred patients who have received nearly 900 sessions.

Volume of work which required the hiring of another physiotherapist to meet the needs of patients also in the province and which are accompanied by informational interviews on cancer and its treatment.
