MADRID, Jan 12 (Reuters) – Alavés and Huesca, from the Spanish first soccer division, have fired their respective coaches with the aim of reversing the trend and achieving permanence in the League.
Huesca, which occupies the last position of the table with only 12 points, dismissed Míchel on Monday after the defeat, that same day, against Betis (0-2).
The Aragonese team has achieved a single victory in the championship.
For their part, Alavés, which occupies the 16th position with 18 points, announced on Tuesday the dismissal of Pablo Machín after losing on Sunday against Cádiz (3-1).
Machín’s team started the season with good feelings, beating Madrid in their stadium and signing a draw against Barça, but the poor results of the last days made the coach lose the confidence of the board.
