Aleksander Sikora about working at TVP. “I didn’t understand”
Aleksander Sikora, who has been hosting a popular program on the morning channel in recent years television, it was axed as part of the station’s much-talked-about reorganization. This decision caused a stir among fans who believed that Sikora’s departure was a mistake.
Now the former TVP presenter has shared his feelings about working in the media.
– Sikora admitted in an interview with Party.pl.
The former TVP star also spoke, among others: about the pressure he felt to be in front of the public.
“Those were not easy years when I was put on a so-called pedestal, in the spotlight – because I felt that I was being looked at from different sides. But also in quotes, I knew what I was playing. (…) I knew that someone was watching me and someone was listening to me – and I had to pay attention to the effects that I was watching more closely than someone who does not work in the media and who does not have the status of a public figure,” admitted the presenter.

Aleksander Sikora has been associated with TVP since 2016. The presenter hosted “Pytanie na bráča” and the station’s most important musical events.
“Someone may say that Telewizja Polska has incorporated politics into its structure, and indeed it has, because it is public television, but I am not dealing with journalism, no I am not dealing with politics. I deal with entertainment. (… ) Any attack and comments that entertainment is also Polish television, this is someone’s opinion that I am not very interested in.” – said the presenter at the end of 2023.
On March 31, 2024, Telewizja Polska terminated the cooperation agreement with him.
