The Dallas Mavericks they will not have their superstar from the NBA, Luka Doncic, who is out with a contusion injury to his left quadriceps.
Mavs fans aren’t too happy not to have their superstar in the lineup, but they shouldn’t worry too much about it. Coach Rick Carlisle says he doesn’t think this is a long-term injury, so it can be expected that Luka Doncic get back into the lineup sooner rather than later.
The Mavs are currently 2-3, ranking 11th in the Western Conference of the NBA. Even though it’s early, Dallas can’t afford to lose more games and dig an even deeper hole, especially not in the competitive Western Conference.

It is surprising to see Dallas Mavericks fight so much early in the season, and that’s mainly due to the inefficiency of Luka Doncic on the offensive side, since in his first two seasons in the NBA proved to be a future superstar.
Doncic’s numbers are down from last season of the NBA, averaging fewer points, rebounds and assists, while shooting a lower percentage from the field. Luka Doncic he’s been awful from the 3-point line as well, shooting just 16 percent from 3.
