In the documentary series completed this year Marilyn Manson: The Brutal Truth let’s go through the serious sexual crime charges against the American musician Marilyn Manson, aka Brian Warner, and their impact on his career. During the three parts, the victims and Manson’s close circle will be heard.
Manson became a shock rock icon in the 1990s. In the aftermath of the Columbine school shooting, he became an advocate for artistic freedom and a cultural provocateur. In the opening episode, Manson talks alarmingly about his sex preferences and his favorite way to have an orgasm.

The documentary points out that the difficulty is to separate the performance of a rock star from the outrages that happen in front of everyone’s eyes. Also included is a comment from Manson’s lawyer.
– Since the trial is in progress, Warner will not comment on matters related to the charges until the legal process is over.

It all started in February 2021, when a group of women accused Manson of rape. Manson’s manager, agent and record label immediately canceled their contract with him. Among the women who made accusations is actress Evan Rachel Wood, who met Manson at the age of 18, and who participated in the making of the documentary. Her relationship with Manson attracted attention when it was made public after Manson’s resignation From Dita Von Teese in 2007. Years later, Wood accused Manson, among other things, of rape on the set of a music video. Manson’s lawyer Howard King deny it in the documentary.
