Alarm bells from Ajax go off after Tagliafico news: “But Nico is ok”

Nicolas Tagliafico is injured out of Argentina, which is a World Cup qualifying match against Paraguay. The left back of Ajax has suffered a hamstring injury, but nothing else is wrong.

Tagliafico’s name has been questioned for the past few days. He did not come out of the battle with FC Utrecht unscathed and traveled to Argentina with complaints. At the last minute it was decided that Tagliafico will not play. Tagliafico trained on Wednesday, according to Argentine media, but then watched it from the sidelines. Tagliafico will be replaced by Lisandro Martínez or Facundo Medin (River Plate).

Tagliafico’s agent Richardo Schlieper says that nothing is wrong. “But Nico is okay. He is not 100 percent fit and prefers to focus on Wednesday’s game in Peru,” he told The Telegraph.
