Following its release last Friday, the sequel received its first update for PC and consoles. It fixed unspecified bugs and localization issues, and the PC patch introduced a “much friendlier error message when third-party software prevents the game from launching.”
The latest Xbox update fixes “numerous visual issues” and “numerous UI-related issues.” Additionally, “Fixed an issue where players could get stuck in an interaction and not exit the game.”
“Thank you for the incredible response to Alan Wake 2,” the studio said. “We’re reviewing all your feedback. We’ll fix the few technical issues we noticed over the weekend as soon as we can and continue to update the game.”
“We are aware of audio stuttering on Xbox and are looking into it,” the studio added.
Last week, Remedy confirmed that the game would be receiving a New Game+ mode in a post-launch update, but that “exact release dates have not yet been determined,” and revealed plans for two paid expansions for Alan Wake 2, the first of which should be released in the spring 2024.
