Alan Wake 2: Epic Games’ Support Leads to Long-Awaited Release

After 13 years of waiting, Alan Wake 2 finally released yesterday. The game was released on PS5, Xbox Series and PC, with the latter platform becoming an Epic Games Store exclusive, but for good reason.

Epic Games financed the development of Alan Wake 2, which means that the game exists largely thanks to the company’s support. Now that the game is out, Thomas Puha, Remedy’s director of communications, has taken to social media to thank Epic for the support it has given the studio.

Thanks to Epic Publishing. They allowed us to make the game we wanted by supporting us without compromise,” Puha wrote. In particular, the production team at Epic Games did a great job with Alan Wake 2: they really cared.

I’ve never read so many good reviews about every stage of development, and I’ve never seen developers test a game so frequently and consistently.

Epic Games’ role as the production company for Alan Wake 2 was talked about back in early 2021, and judging by the quality of the sequel, the collaboration between the two companies has certainly paid off.
